A Southport killer’s possession of a terror manual raises concerns as copies appear on eBay, sparking outrage and calls for action.
Southport: So, there’s this really disturbing story coming out of Southport. A guy named Axel Rudakubana was found guilty of owning a terrorist manual. And guess what? You can actually buy that manual on eBay!
The book is called ‘Al Qaeda Training Manual: Military Studies in the Jihad Against the Tyrants.’ It’s listed for about £27.29, or £24.56 if you use a coupon. Can you believe that?
There are ten copies available, and one has already been sold. Rudakubana didn’t just own the book; he also pleaded guilty to some horrific crimes. He murdered three little girls and tried to kill eight other kids and two adults.
This all happened while the kids were at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class. Just imagine that! The manual includes some pretty scary stuff, like how to carry out assassinations and avoid getting caught.
One chapter even talks about making deadly poisons. Rudakubana had ricin, a really dangerous poison, on him when he was caught. The Crown Prosecution Service said this manual could help someone commit terrorism, which is a serious issue.
Interestingly, Waterstones had the book for sale too, but they took it down after the news broke. They priced the hardback at £31.99 and the paperback at £19.95. A spokesperson said they try to keep objectionable titles off their shelves, but sometimes things slip through the cracks.
They’re working on improving their filters to prevent this from happening again. It’s a tough job with so many new titles coming out every year, but it’s crucial to keep dangerous materials away from the public.
