After a tough prom experience, a mother-daughter duo now runs a thriving dress shop in West Yorkshire, making prom dreams come true for many.
Brighouse: A mum named Donna Gadd has turned her heartbreak into a thriving business. After her daughter Lia faced a tough time finding a prom dress, Donna decided to step in.
Seven years ago, Lia was just 15 and felt awful while shopping for her prom dress. The assistant made her feel self-conscious about her size. Donna knew she could do better.
Now, Donna runs The Prom Den in Brighouse, and it’s a hit! She’s revamped the store with a new catwalk and changing rooms. Plus, her daughter Lia has opened a new outlet in Horsforth.
Lia wanted to create that special experience for others, just like her mum did for her. They believe prom night should be magical for every teenager.
The dresses range from £299 to £495, and Donna even helps families in need by donating dresses. It’s all about making sure every girl feels beautiful on her big night.
