Halifax: There was a chemical spill in Halifax that got everyone buzzing. West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue jumped into action right away.

Emergency crews were called to an industrial site on Water Lane just before 2:22 PM yesterday. They quickly taped off the area to keep everyone safe.

The Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent their Hazardous Area Response Team, but they were later sent home. West Yorkshire Police also showed up to help keep the road secure.

A spokesperson from the fire service said they got the call at 2:19 PM about the spill. They sent a crew from Halifax along with their special unit to check things out.
