A chemical spill in Halifax prompted a swift response from emergency services, ensuring safety and containment of the situation.
Emergency crews were called to an industrial site on Water Lane just before 2:22 PM yesterday. They quickly taped off the area to keep everyone safe.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent their Hazardous Area Response Team, but they were later sent home. West Yorkshire Police also showed up to help keep the road secure.
A spokesperson from the fire service said they got the call at 2:19 PM about the spill. They sent a crew from Halifax along with their special unit to check things out.
Firefighters used breathing gear to assess the situation and then handed it back to the landowners.
