A 76-year-old woman was injured in Huddersfield after a mugging attempt left her with a facial wound. Police are seeking information on the suspect.
Huddersfield: A woman in her 70s was attacked in broad daylight. It happened in the town center, near the bus station. The 76-year-old was pushed to the ground. She got hurt on her face and needed to go to the hospital.
The incident took place on a Wednesday afternoon. A man wearing a baseball cap approached her from behind. He tried to steal her bag but ran off empty-handed. Thankfully, some people nearby helped her out.
The police are looking for the man. They released a CCTV image but it’s not very clear. Detective Sergeant Andy Holmes said it was a nasty attack. He’s urging anyone who saw anything to come forward.
