Over 15,000 Vehicles Seized on South Yorkshire Roads in 2024

South Yorkshire: More than 15,000 vehicles were seized this year. The police took action against 15,636 vehicles. Out of these, 3,719 were reported stolen.

They also seized 1,399 vehicles linked to crime. Additionally, 284 were involved in serious or fatal crashes. A whopping 4,098 were taken for having no insurance.

Research shows that drivers without insurance often take risks. This includes speeding and driving under the influence. It’s a dangerous mix that puts everyone at risk.

The police are working hard to make roads safer. Inspector Matt Collings shared that 48 people lost their lives on South Yorkshire roads last year. That’s heartbreaking for families.
