Holbeach: A 16-year-old boy was found guilty of attempted murder. This happened after he attacked another teen, leaving him seriously injured in a bush.

The victim, also 16, was discovered in the grounds of a local primary school. It was a shocking scene on July 28, 2024.

Reports say the boys had been drinking and hanging out before the victim passed out. The attacker left for a bit but returned with a dark plan.

While on the phone, he talked about wanting to kill the unconscious boy. A friend on the line got worried and called the police.

When the police arrived, they found the victim with serious injuries. He had cuts on his neck and stomach from a broken bottle.

He also had a bad eye injury. Paramedics rushed in to help him right away.

The police arrested the attacker at home. He claimed he was confused and didn’t remember what happened.

During the trial, the jury saw a video call where the boy threatened the victim with the broken bottle. It took them less than three hours to reach a verdict.

He’ll be back in court on March 3 for sentencing. The judge made it clear that he will face time in custody.
