A popular beer brand is recalling bottles due to safety concerns about glass shards. Customers are urged to return affected products for a refund.
Newcastle: A popular beer brand is in the spotlight for a recall. Heineken UK has pulled its Newcastle Brown Ale from shelves at Tesco and Aldi.
The issue? Some bottles might shatter when opened, posing a risk of glass consumption. Yikes! If you’ve bought any, it’s best to return them for a refund.
Only specific bottles with a Best Before Date of November 30, 2025, are affected. The batch numbers to watch out for are L4321 through L4326.
Heineken UK is taking this seriously. They stated that safety is their top priority. They want customers to stop drinking the affected bottles and return them instead.
They’re also working with regulatory authorities to sort this out. If you have questions, their Customer Care team is ready to help.
For more info on product recalls, check the Food Standards Agency or the Chartered Trading Standards Institute websites. You can also find notices in stores if products have been pulled.
In other news, Tesco recently recalled packs of meat due to a wrong use-by date. They acted quickly, urging customers to return those products too.
