The victim, Marianne Kilonzi, was discovered in her Woolwich home, prompting a murder investigation as police seek information from the public.
Police responded to a call about concerns for her welfare on January 17. They arrived at her home on Argyll Road and sadly discovered her body.
So far, no arrests have been made. Detective Chief Inspector Suzanne Soren is leading the investigation. She expressed her condolences to Marianne’s family and friends during this tough time.
The family is receiving support from specialized officers. The detective reassured the community that they believe Marianne knew the suspect.
This means there’s no wider risk to the public. The investigation is moving quickly, and police are asking anyone with information to step forward.
